Gal Gadot says she had brain clot surgery during pregnancy
NAIROBI, Kenya –
Gal Gadot recently shared her harrowing experience of surviving a “massive blood clot” in her brain during her most recent pregnancy. The actress opened up about the ordeal in a heartfelt Instagram post, revealing that she was eight months pregnant when she received the diagnosis and underwent emergency surgery after giving birth to her fourth child.
In the post, Gadot recounted how she had been suffering from excruciating headaches for weeks before finally undergoing an MRI that revealed the blood clot. She described the moment of diagnosis as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the suddenness with which everything can change.
The emergency surgery took place shortly after her daughter, Ori, was born. Gadot explained that she had chosen the name Ori, which means “my light,” as a symbol of hope during her darkest moments. She expressed gratitude towards the medical team at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for helping her through the crisis.
Reflecting on the experience, Gadot emphasized the importance of listening to one’s body and taking action when faced with health concerns. She encouraged her followers to prioritize their health and support one another in times of need.
The “Wonder Woman” star also shared her joy at celebrating Hanukkah with her family, highlighting the personal miracle of her daughter’s birth amidst a challenging year. Gadot expressed her wish for everyone to find their own light and experience miracles in their lives.
Gadot and her husband, Jaron Varsano, welcomed their daughter Ori in March. The couple are also parents to Alma, Maya, and Daniella, and have been married since 2008.
