Georgia husbands who abused 2 adopted sons are sentenced

A Georgia couple who pleaded guilty to sexually abusing their two adopted sons has been sentenced to 100 years in prison without the possibility of parole. William Zulock pleaded guilty to multiple counts of aggravated sodomy, child molestation, incest, and sexual exploitation of children. His husband, Zachary Zulock, pleaded guilty to similar charges including pandering to a person under 18.

The Alcovy Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office described the case as a “house of horrors” and commended the young victims for their bravery throughout the investigation and trial. The Zulocks initially came under investigation after authorities received a tip about suspected child sexual abuse material uploaded to a Google account linked to their home in Walton County.

During interviews with authorities, both men admitted to the abuse, which was further corroborated by electronic evidence including surveillance footage from inside their home. The investigation also led to the prosecution and sentencing of two other men who agreed to testify against the Zulocks.

District Attorney Randy McGinley emphasized the importance of the case in sending a message that such heinous actions will not be tolerated. He also stressed the need for harsh consequences for anyone who abuses children, especially those who have been adopted and entrusted to their care.

The sentence imposed on the Zulocks not only punishes them for their crimes but also ensures that the victims can continue their healing process without the fear of their abusers being free. The resolution of the case was the result of the hard work of law enforcement and serves as a warning to the public that such actions will have severe consequences.
