During the discussion, Scanlan shared her experience of competing alongside Lia Thomas, a transgender athlete, revealing the challenges she faced in having to change in the locker room with a biological male. Marshall announced plans to introduce the Safeguarding the Overall Protection of Minors Act (STOP), which aims to penalize individuals who perform surgeries or provide medication to minors for gender-related purposes.
