Halifax Water asking some residents to temporarily reduce water usage

Halifax Water is asking residents of parts of some neighbourhoods near the Armdale Roundabout to reduce water usage while they carry out repair work in the area.

Halifax Water is asking residents of parts of some neighbourhoods near the Armdale Roundabout to reduce their water usage while they carry out repair work in the area.

While the utility began replacement work on a Chebucto Road water main Friday night, an unexpected repair was needed to a wastewater pipe.

Halifax Water is asking residents in parts of some neighbourhoods to minimize their use of running water, toilet flushing and doing laundry.

The utility said following these actions would reduce pressure on the wastewater system.

The recommendations apply to residents living in the shaded area below.
