Hammonds Plains trio booked for drug trafficking on Halloween

UPPER HAMMONDS PLAINS, N.S. — A trio from Upper Hammonds Plains have been arrested and charged with drug offences following the search of a home on Halloween.

Members of a Halifax Regional Police and RCMP joint forces team executed a search warrant at a residence on Pockwock Road on Oct. 31 in relation to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

There, officers seized cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, prescription pills, a scale, cell phones, three rifles and a shotgun.

Two women, 44 and 25, were arrested at the scene and a third man, 48, was arrested after showing up to the home while police were there.

All three were released to appear in Halifax provincial court on Dec. 6 to face two counts each of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The investigation is continuing.
