Here are your Best of Halifax 2024 winners for Food + Drink

The Best of Halifax Awards have once again recognized the top food and drink establishments in the city, with some notable winners earning a spot in the prestigious Hall of Fame. This year, six winners have cemented their place in Halifax’s culinary history, including Bud the Spud for Best Fries, Willy’s Fresh Cut Fries & Burgers for Best Poutine and Best Late-night Food, Darrell’s for Best Burger, Two If By Sea for Best Cafe, World Tea House for Best Tea, and Cha Baa Thai’s downtown location for Best Thai Restaurant.

These establishments have consistently impressed Halifax residents with their delicious offerings, making them worthy recipients of this honor. Stay tuned for more on their induction into the BOH Hall of Fame in 2025.

In addition to the Hall of Fame inductees, this year’s Best of Halifax Awards saw The Bicycle Thief reclaim the title of Best Restaurant for the fourth time, while Renée Lavallée of The Canteen secured her seventh consecutive win for Best Chef. Other notable winners include Palm Tree Kitchen for Best Caribbean Restaurant and Enemona Agada of Dear Friend Bar for Best Bartender.

The list of winners in the Food + Drink category is extensive, showcasing the diverse and vibrant culinary scene in Halifax. From best bakery to best wine list, there is something for every palate in the city.
