Here’s how to celebrate Canada Day 2025 with CBC

Canada Day is just around the corner, and CBC is inviting all Canadians to reflect on this special day and celebrate with a full day of exciting programming. Whether you want to join in person at various locations across the country or tune in to CBC’s television, radio, or online channels, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Starting off the celebrations is the “It’s a Canada Thing” Summer Tour, which kicks off at The Forks in Winnipeg, Wascana Park in Regina, Chinguacousy Park in Brampton, and Pier 21 in Halifax. These colorful pop-up activations allow you to share what being Canadian means to you and participate in friendly competitions to win CBC prizes.

For those who prefer to watch from home, CBC News will provide live coverage throughout the day on CBC-TV, CBC News Network, CBC Gem, CBCnews.ca, the CBC News app, the CBC News YouTube channel, and CBC News streaming channels. The coverage begins early at 6 a.m. ET and includes various hosts from different locations, such as Charlottetown, Ottawa, and LeBreton Flats Park.

In the evening, tune in to watch the Canada’s Walk of Fame 2025 ceremony, where nine remarkable Canadians will be inducted into the prestigious Walk of Fame. The gala ceremony will feature performances by renowned artists and a tribute to this year’s inductees.

Another highlight of the day is the “Celebrating our Canada, Loud and Proud” concert special, hosted by Isabelle Racicot. The star-studded event will feature performances by a lineup of Canadian musical acts, culminating in a grand fireworks display in Ottawa-Gatineau.
