Highway 103 closed after serious crash near Blockhouse

Highway 103 near Exit 11 was closed Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash.

RCMP spokesman Cpl. Chris Marshall said two SUVs collided at about 2 p.m. No fatalities have been reported, but he said there are serious injuries and the road will be closed for several hours between Exits 10 and 11.

Several fire departments were called to the scene, along with paramedics. At least one of the occupants had to be freed by firefighters.

Marshall said he didn’t know yet how many people were in the vehicles.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
