US Election 2024

House Democrat ripped after calling Trump ‘enemy of the United States

Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett faced backlash from conservatives on social media this week after making bold statements about President Donald Trump on MSNBC. Crockett referred to Trump as “occupying the White House” and labeled him as an “enemy to the United States.” She also went as far as calling him a “dictator” during her appearance on the cable news network.

Conservatives quickly took to social media to criticize Crockett for her remarks. Fox News host Laura Ingraham questioned Crockett’s commitment to democracy, implying that her comments could incite insurrection. Retired professor Carol Swain called for accountability from members of Congress for their words and actions. Former Rep. Matt Gaetz accused Crockett of spreading dangerous election denial rhetoric, while Sen. Markwayne Mullin suggested that her statements could lead to further losses for the Democratic Party.

In response to the criticism, Crockett’s office did not immediately provide a comment when reached out to by Fox News Digital.

Despite the backlash, Crockett has emerged as a prominent figure within the Democratic Party, actively opposing Trump’s policies and the efforts of Tesla CEO Elon Musk. In a recent viral moment, Crockett told a reporter outside the U.S. Capitol that if she could say one thing to Musk, it would be “F— off.”

The controversy surrounding Crockett’s comments highlights the ongoing political divide in the United States. While some see her as a strong voice against the Trump administration, others view her statements as divisive and inflammatory.
