India vows to hunt terrorists to ‘ends of the earth’ following Kashmir attack

India has made a strong vow to track down terrorists and bring them to justice after a deadly attack in the Kashmir region left 26 people dead. Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared at a public rally that India will spare no effort in identifying, tracking, and punishing every terrorist, as well as their handlers and supporters. He emphasized that India will pursue them relentlessly, even to the ends of the earth.

The recent attack, which targeted civilians visiting a scenic meadow in Kashmir, marked one of the worst assaults in the region in years. Gunmen opened fire on tourists, resulting in the tragic loss of 26 lives and injuring 17 others. While the Indian government did not provide concrete evidence linking the attack to Pakistan, it mentioned alleged “cross-border” connections. However, Pakistan denied any involvement, and a militant group known as the Kashmir Resistance claimed responsibility for the attack.

In response to the escalating tensions, India announced several measures, including revoking all visas issued to Pakistani nationals and requiring those currently in India to leave before their visas expire. Additionally, India reduced the number of diplomatic staff and closed the only operational land border crossing between the two countries. Pakistan retaliated by closing its airspace to Indian-owned or operated airlines and suspending all trade with India, including to and from third countries.

President Donald Trump extended his condolences following the attack, expressing solidarity with India in the fight against terrorism. He reassured Prime Minister Modi and the people of India of the United States’ unwavering support during this difficult time. The international community has been closely monitoring the situation, with concerns growing over the potential for further escalation of hostilities between India and Pakistan.
