Infant suffers life-threatening injuries in Hants County crash

A tragic crash at a rural intersection in central Nova Scotia has left an infant with life-threatening injuries. According to RCMP, the collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 14 and South Rawdon Road shortly after 12 p.m. on Thursday.

The incident involved a transport truck traveling west and a car traveling north on South Rawdon Road. The impact of the crash resulted in the infant being airlifted to the hospital for urgent medical attention. Additionally, the driver and passenger of the car, a 34-year-old woman from South Rawdon and a 69-year-old woman from Hantsport, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to the hospital. The driver of the truck, a 70-year-old man from Williamswood, suffered minor injuries.

An investigation into the crash is currently underway by the RCMP. Despite the severity of the incident, the intersection has since reopened to traffic.
