Laurie Didyk, a 57-year-old avid hiker, recently faced a challenging ordeal while exploring Fishing Cove Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Despite suffering a broken and dislocated ankle during her trek, Didyk remains determined to return and complete the trail once she has fully recovered.

Didyk’s journey took a sudden turn when she slipped on a rock about two kilometers from Fishing Cove, causing a significant injury to her ankle.
