Israeli diplomat warns America after DC shooting that radicalism threatens all

In the aftermath of the tragic shooting of two Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington D.C., Deputy Consul General of Israel in New York, Tsach Saar, is sending a stark warning to America. He emphasizes that radicalism is not just an issue for Israelis and Jews, but a pressing problem for all Americans.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Saar stressed that the individuals who incite violence and use antisemitic rhetoric are not only threatening Israeli and Jewish communities, but are also undermining the pillars of American democracy. He highlighted the phrase “globalize the Intifada,” which has gained traction at anti-Israel demonstrations, as a disturbing trend that seeks to spread violence beyond the Middle East to places like America.
The recent shooting of Israeli Embassy workers, Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, by Elias Rodriguez, who chanted “free, free Palestine” during his arrest, has reignited discussions about the dangerous rhetoric used in anti-Israel protests. Saar pointed out that the Intifada is a direct call for violence against Jews, and the presence of such violence on American soil poses a serious threat to American society.
Saar also raised concerns about the rise of antisemitism in the U.S. following Hamas’ attacks on Israel in October 2023. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) reported a 5% increase in antisemitic incidents in 2024, marking the fourth consecutive year of record-breaking numbers. Saar emphasized the need for Americans to unite against those who spread lies and incite violence, urging individuals to resist by legal means and stand proud of their identities.
Despite the challenges faced by Jewish and Israeli communities, Saar believes that the solution is not to hide their identities, but to confront hatred and intolerance head-on. He acknowledged the fear and insecurity felt by Jewish and pro-Israel individuals on college campuses, where anti-Israel sentiment has been particularly strong. Saar called for a distinction between free speech and incitement to violence, emphasizing the importance of standing up against hateful rhetoric.
As America grapples with the repercussions of radicalism and rising antisemitism, Saar’s warning serves as a call to action for all Americans to defend democracy, promote unity, and reject violence and hatred in all its forms.
