Jamie Foxx gets stitches after attack at his birthday dinner

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. –

Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx found himself in a bit of trouble while celebrating his birthday at a popular restaurant in Beverly Hills, California. According to his representative, Foxx ended up needing stitches after being hit in the face with a glass during the festivities.

The incident occurred at the well-known celebrity hangout, Mr. Chow, but the exact reason behind the altercation remains unclear. A spokesperson for Foxx revealed that a glass thrown from another table struck him in the mouth, leading to the injury. Despite the unfortunate incident, Foxx received medical attention and is currently in the process of recovery.

Law enforcement was called to the scene following the altercation. The Beverly Hills Police Department responded to a report of assault with a deadly weapon around 10 p.m. on Friday but later determined that it was actually a physical altercation between individuals. Although no arrests were made, the department conducted an investigation and filed a report documenting the battery.

At this time, Mr. Chow has not released any official statements regarding the incident. However, Foxx took to Instagram on Sunday morning to express his gratitude to those who reached out to check on him. In his post, he alluded to the incident at Mr. Chow, stating, “The devil is busy … but I’m too blessed to be stressed.”

Foxx, known for his award-winning performance as Ray Charles in the film “Ray,” celebrated his 57th birthday on Friday amidst the unexpected turn of events at the restaurant.
