Jamie Foxx shares trailer for new Netflix movie
While Jamie Foxx continues to recover from a “medical complication,” new projects are still coming out.
The Oscar-winning actor has shared a trailer for his upcoming Netflix movie ‘They Cloned Tyrone’.
Foxx stars in the film alongside John Boyega and Teyonah Parris. Their three characters stumble “on the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy” in the fantasy comedy.
Speaking to Variety this week during a screening of the film at the American Black Film Festival, Boyega said Foxx was “incredibly generous to people, always energetic, very positive” while working on the film.
“My lasting memory is that he has the ability to read six pages of new dialogue and just say, ‘Yeah, I got it,'” Boyega recalled. “I’m like ‘What? How did you do that?’ That’s movie star stuff.”
On April 11, Foxx was hospitalized in Atlanta, Georgia where he was filming the Netflix movie “Back in Action.”
His family has asked for privacy as he recovers from what his adult daughter Corinne Foxx called a “medical complication.”
She tried to put a stop to speculation about her father’s condition with a post on social media in May.
“Sad to see the media go berserk,” Corinne Foxx wrote. “My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating. He was even playing pickleball yesterday! Thank you for everyone’s prayers and support! There’s also an exciting job announcement coming next week!”
The announcement was that she and her father will host a new music-focused trivia game show, which will debut in 2024.
“They Cloned Tyrone” will premiere on Netflix next month.
