Jets legend Nick Mangold criticizes government officials for lack of answers in NJ drone sightings

New York Jets legend Nick Mangold has expressed his frustration with the lack of answers surrounding the viral drone sightings in New Jersey. Taking to social media, Mangold criticized officials for their inaction on the matter.

In a post on X, Mangold called out New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy for his lack of action, accusing him of only offering empty phrases in response to the drone sightings. White House national security communications adviser John Kirby addressed the situation in a press briefing, stating that there was currently no evidence to suggest that the drone sightings posed a national security threat.

However, Mangold was not satisfied with Kirby’s response, taking to social media to express his displeasure. He emphasized that he had personally witnessed the drones and felt that the government was not being truthful about the situation.

One of Mangold’s former teammates, Ryan Fitzpatrick, also weighed in on the controversy, seeking updates on the drone sightings. Mangold reiterated that the drones were indeed present in New Jersey skies and that the government’s denial of their existence was unacceptable.

The drone sightings have been ongoing since mid-November, causing concern among residents of the Garden State. Mangold, who spent his entire 11-year career playing center for the Jets, is now serving as the offensive line coach for Delbarton High School in Morristown, New Jersey.

As a seven-time Pro Bowler and Jets ring of honor inductee, Mangold’s frustration with the lack of action on the drone sightings highlights the seriousness of the situation. It remains to be seen how officials will address the growing concern over the mysterious drones flying over New Jersey.
