Jordan evacuates 16 Palestinian children, including 10 cancer patients, from Gaza

Jordan’s Ongoing Efforts to Evacuate Palestinian Children from Gaza

In an exclusive report by Fox News, it has been revealed that sixteen Palestinian children, including ten cancer patients, were evacuated from Gaza on Wednesday as part of a humanitarian initiative led by Jordan. This initiative, known as the “Jordan Medical Corridor,” was established by King Abdullah II and was announced during a meeting with President Donald Trump in February.

The Jordanian source told Fox News that there are challenges faced by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Israeli restrictions, which limit the number of children that can be evacuated in each batch. However, despite these obstacles, a total of 64 Palestinians were successfully evacuated to Jordan on Wednesday. Among them is a 5-month-old baby suffering from severe malnutrition, a 6-year-old with explosive injury burns, and a 2-year-old with blood cancer.

Four of the patients were airlifted from the Israel-Jordan border to Amman, where they will receive free medical treatment and housing until they complete their care. The ongoing Jordanian mandate aims to evacuate 2,000 children from Gaza while providing field hospital treatment and aid to those still trapped in the enclave.

Despite the security challenges, there is cooperation between Israel and Jordan to facilitate the evacuation process. An Israeli official confirmed that the evacuation took place at the Kerem Shalom crossing in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier in the conflict, Jordan used C-130 aircraft to drop food into Gaza in coordination with U.S. Central Command. As the war enters its 600th day, efforts are being made to reach a ceasefire that would end the suffering of Palestinian civilians and secure the release of hostages held by Hamas.

King Abdullah II has been vocal in opposing discussions of forced displacement for Palestinians in Gaza. The ongoing evacuation of children from the war-torn region underscores Jordan’s commitment to providing humanitarian aid to those in need.
