Kash Patel vows to ‘do everything’ to help GOP senator expose Epstein files
Kash Patel, President Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI director, made a bold pledge during his confirmation hearing on Thursday. He promised to collaborate with Sen. Marsha Blackburn, a top Republican senator, to uncover the individuals involved in the trafficking and exploitation of children alongside Jeffrey Epstein.
Blackburn questioned Patel about his plans to address the Epstein case, highlighting the importance of revealing the identities of those who were connected to Epstein’s criminal activities. “I have worked on this for years trying to get those records of who flew on Epstein’s plane and who helped him build this international human trafficking sex trafficking ring,” Blackburn stated, taking a swipe at former Judiciary Chairman Dick Durbin for obstructing her efforts to obtain crucial information related to the case.
In response to Blackburn’s inquiry, Patel affirmed his commitment to combatting child sex trafficking and ensuring that the public is fully informed about the extent of the crimes committed in the past. He vowed to prioritize the protection of missing and exploited children if he is confirmed as FBI director.
Following the exchange between Blackburn and Patel, Durbin attempted to defend himself against Blackburn’s accusations, claiming that he had not hindered the release of Epstein’s network names. However, Blackburn countered Durbin’s remarks, asserting that she had raised the issue repeatedly and sought cooperation from him without success.
