Chilean authorities have announced the recovery of three watches belonging to Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves, including a prestigious Rolex Submariner valued at $9,000. These timepieces were believed to have been stolen from the actor’s residence in Los Angeles in late 2023.
The Rolex Submariner, which is engraved with Reeves’ first name and a special message referencing the “John Wick” film series, was found during a police operation in eastern Santiago. It is reported that in 2021, Reeves gifted similar Rolex watches to the stuntmen who worked on “John Wick: Chapter 4.”
According to Rolex’s official website, the price of the Submariner watch is approximately $9,000. The discovery of these watches in Chile is part of a larger investigation into local robberies.
Interestingly, the “John Wick” movies depict Reeves’ character seeking vengeance after his home is burglarized, drawing a parallel to the actor’s real-life experience. Chilean authorities disclosed that valuable jewelry and watches were recovered from multiple locations, with at least one watch confirmed to belong to the actor who was robbed in Los Angeles.
CNN Chile reported that a total of three watches were linked to Reeves, and collaboration between Chilean and US officials aided in connecting the recovered timepiece to the 2023 burglary at the actor’s residence. A 21-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the case.
Reeves has unfortunately been targeted by home burglaries in the past, with incidents reported in 2014 where his residence was invaded multiple times within a short period. CNN has reached out to the actor’s representatives for a statement regarding the recent developments.
