Kieran Culkin explains why his kids haven’t seen ‘Home Alone’

Kieran Culkin Reveals Why His Kids Haven’t Watched “Home Alone”

Kieran Culkin, known for his role in “Succession,” recently opened up about why his children have never watched the holiday classic “Home Alone.” Despite the fact that the film made his uncle, Macaulay Culkin, a child star, Kieran’s kids, daughter Kinsey and son Wilder, have yet to experience the iconic movie.

Speaking to “E! News” at The Gothams 34th Annual Film Awards in New York City, Kieran explained, “There’s still some scary parts in ‘Home Alone.’ For the 3-year-old, there’s the tarantula and the guy at the end who said, ‘I’m gonna bite off all your fingers.’ That’s scary for a 3-year-old.”

The film, which follows a young boy left home alone during Christmas vacation, is a beloved holiday classic. Despite the scary moments, Kieran believes that his children may be ready to watch their uncle’s famous movie this year or perhaps the next.

On the other hand, Macaulay Culkin, who shares two young sons with actress Brenda Song, revealed to “Entertainment Tonight” that his toddler son had already seen “Home Alone” and found it hilarious. Macaulay even convinced his son that he was the kid in the movie, although the little one couldn’t recall any of it accurately.

It seems like the Culkin family has differing views on when it’s appropriate for their children to watch “Home Alone.” While Kieran is considering introducing the film to his kids soon, Macaulay has already shared the movie with his sons, creating funny memories in the process.
