L.A. fires: Heidi Montag tops iTunes chart after losing house

Heidi Montag’s Album “Superficial” Hits No. 1 on iTunes Charts
Reality television star Heidi Montag’s 2010 album “Superficial” has achieved a remarkable milestone by reaching the No. 1 spot on iTunes’ all-genre songs and albums charts. This unexpected success comes 15 years after its initial release and shortly after Montag and her husband Spencer Pratt faced the loss of their home in the Palisades Fire.
Following the unfortunate incident, Pratt took to TikTok to share photos of their damaged house, urging fans to stream Montag’s music on various platforms. This plea resonated with listeners, as “Superficial” surpassed other popular albums to claim the top position on the albums chart, while the title track outperformed hit singles by renowned artists like Blackpink and Bruno Mars on the songs chart.
In response to their newfound success, Pratt expressed gratitude in an Instagram video, emphasizing that achieving No. 1 on iTunes was a greater accomplishment than material possessions. He thanked their supporters for making this achievement possible and envisioned their sons proudly acknowledging their mother’s musical triumph.
Apple Music also witnessed a surge in streams for “Superficial,” marking Montag’s highest streaming day on the platform with a substantial increase from the previous week. The album reentered pop albums charts in multiple countries and made its debut on the charts in others, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the U.K. Additionally, it secured a spot on all-genre albums charts in several countries, reaching No. 65 in the U.S.
Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt gained fame through their appearances on the reality TV show “The Hills,” where they embraced their roles as controversial figures in the entertainment industry. Despite a decline in popularity following the show’s conclusion, the couple maintained a presence on social media platforms, engaging with their dedicated followers and sharing updates on their lives.
Montag’s resurgence on the music scene with the success of “Superficial” serves as a testament to her enduring appeal and the support of her loyal fan base. As they navigate through challenging times, Montag and Pratt continue to captivate audiences with their unique blend of talent and charisma.
