L.A. wildfires Mel Gibson says home lost

Mel Gibson’s Malibu Home Destroyed by Wildfires
Mel Gibson recently revealed that his home in Malibu was destroyed by the Los Angeles wildfires while he was away recording a podcast with Joe Rogan in Austin, Texas. The Oscar-winning actor and director shared the news during a telephone interview with NewsNation’s “Elizabeth Vargas Reports.”
Gibson expressed that he was devastated by the loss of his home, stating, “Obviously, it’s kind of devastating. It’s emotional. You live there for a long time, and you had all your stuff.” He went on to reference comedian George Carlin’s famous bit about “stuff,” acknowledging that all his belongings were now reduced to ashes.
The actor admitted that he was aware of the fire in his neighborhood during the podcast with Rogan and upon returning home, found that his house was no longer standing. Despite the loss, Gibson maintained a sense of humor, joking, “Well at least I haven’t got any of those pesky plumbing problems anymore.”
Gibson revealed that he and his girlfriend had evacuated, with her remaining in California while he traveled to Texas for the podcast. Reflecting on the devastation, he described his destroyed home as “perfectly burned,” comparing it to something that could fit in an urn.
