Madonna postpones tour after ICU stay
Madonna’s upcoming tour is being postponed after the singer contracted a “serious bacterial infection” that led to a days-long stay in ICU, according to her talent manager Guy Oseary.
In an Instagram post On Wednesday, Oseary said the pop star developed the infection on June 24 and then spent several days in ICU.
As a result, Oseary said Madonna should “pause all commitments”, including her “Celebration Tour”.
“Her health is improving, but she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” the message reads.
The 64-year-old singer was expected to kick off her tour on July 15 in Vancouver, BC
“We will share more details with you as we get them, including a new tour start date and for rescheduled shows,” added Oseary.
