Male model charged in gruesome New York City apartment lobby stabbing
A 20-year-old male model, Dynus Saxon, has been charged in the stabbing death of 35-year-old Kadeem Grant in New York City. The incident took place on November 10 in a Mott Haven apartment building, where Grant was found stabbed in the chest. Saxon has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Saxon was arraigned late Friday and will be held without bail until his next court date on December 3. Prosecutors revealed that Saxon had a large bandage on his right hand due to an injury sustained during the stabbing.
Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the stabbing. The New York City Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting the incident. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Saxon, who previously worked as a model represented by ONE Management, has since been cut ties with the agency. His Instagram account, where he showcased his modeling work, has been deactivated.
Witnesses at the scene described the aftermath of the stabbing as “super bloody.” One resident mentioned that the victim was handcuffed and covered in blood, painting a gruesome picture of the crime scene.
The case is still under investigation, and Saxon will remain in custody as legal proceedings continue. The details surrounding the tragic event have shocked the community, leaving many questioning the circumstances that led to such a violent act.
