A 19-year-old Blue Mountain man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Thorburn, Pictou County.

Police say they responded to a call early Saturday and found a car in the ditch

A 19-year-old Blue Mountain man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Thorburn, Pictou County.

In a media release, Pictou County District RCMP say they responded along with fire and EHS to a report of a vehicle crash at 6:30 a.m. Saturday on Sherbrooke Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, RCMP officers learned that a car had left the roadway and entered the ditch. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say an investigation has begun.
