Man, 41, charged with attempted murder after woman stabbed in Tatamagouche

A 45-year-old Tatamagouche woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed on Sunday morning.

A 45-year-old Tatamagouche woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed on Sunday morning.

According to a news release, police responded at 2:30 a.m. after a man notified them he had stabbed a woman known to him at a home on Highway 246.

The woman was taken to hospital after receiving first aid. A 41-year-old Tatamagouche man was arrested at the scene, according to police.

The man is in custody and will appear in Truro provincial court to face charges that include attempted murder, the release states.
