Man arrested in Cape Breton following emergency alert

Cape Breton Regional Police say they have arrested a 53-year-old man who they believe was armed and dangerous.

An emergency alert was issued shortly after 4 a.m. Wednesday warning residents in Cape Breton about Kenneth Scott MacPhee, who allegedly threatened to harm specific people he knows.

A few hours later, police issued another alert saying he had been arrested and there was no further risk to the public.
