Man awaits sentencing for groping waitress at Halifax bar

A Whites Lake man will be convicted in September of groping a waitress at a Halifax bar last year.

Dave Odrowski, 60, pleaded guilty this spring in Halifax Provincial Court to charges of sexual assault.

The crime was committed on April 28, 2022. The Chronicle Herald does not name the bar due to a publication ban on the identity of the victim.

Odrowski was due to be sentenced on Monday, but attorney Laura McCarthy told the judge her client could not come to court because he is recovering from surgery.

Judge Christine Driscoll moved the sentencing hearing to September 12.
