Brandon Herrera, a Second Amendment activist, YouTuber, and Texas Republican congressional candidate, has spoken out following being named in a disturbing video allegedly made by the prime suspect in Wednesday’s mass shooting at a Catholic church and school. Herrera condemned the shooter’s “hateful and senseless act.”
In a statement emailed by his campaign to Fox News Digital, Herrera expressed his horror at the attack on innocent children and his disgust that his name was mentioned by the shooter. He clarified that he did not recall meeting the individual in question at SHOT Show in Las Vegas.
Herrera stated, “Nonetheless, I am making myself fully available to the FBI and any other law enforcement agency that have questions.” He also mentioned his coordination with friends in law enforcement to support the families affected by the tragedy.

Authorities confirmed that the suspected shooter, who went by the names Robin Westman and Robert Westman, killed two school children and injured 17 others at Annunciation Catholic School. The shooter, identified as Westman, is believed to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The disturbing video posted by a person using the name Robin Westman was removed from YouTube after the incident, showing weapons, bullets, and handwritten messages. The authenticity of the video has not been verified by authorities.
In the video, the individual filming mentioned Herrera and urged viewers to vote for him for president. Herrera, also known as “TheAKGuy,” denounced the shooter on social media, refusing to utter the perpetrator’s name and sending his condolences to the victims’ families.
