Man’s body found inside abandoned car in Cape Breton

RCMP in Nova Scotia are currently investigating a suspicious death after a man’s body was discovered inside a vehicle in Victoria County. The Northeast Nova Major Crime Unit has taken charge of the investigation.
The incident unfolded on Saturday afternoon when officers were called to New Campbellton Road in New Campbellton. The call was in response to an abandoned car that was believed to be linked to a missing person from the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.
Upon arrival, authorities found the body of a 43-year-old man inside the vehicle. No other individuals were present in the car at the time. While the death is being treated as suspicious, RCMP have not disclosed any further information regarding the case.
The investigation is now being led by the RCMP’s Northeast Nova Major Crime Unit, with assistance from Victoria County District RCMP and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
