McDavid returns from injury for Oilers vs. Golden Knights

Connor McDavid Returns to Edmonton Oilers Lineup Against Vegas Golden Knights

Edmonton Oilers fans have reason to celebrate as their captain, Connor McDavid, is set to make his return to the lineup against the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday night.

McDavid had been sidelined with an ankle injury sustained during a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 28, forcing him to miss three games.

Initially, the Oilers had announced that McDavid would be out for two to three weeks. However, McDavid surprised everyone by hitting the ice for a skate on Monday and declaring that he “felt good out there.”

During McDavid’s absence, the Oilers managed to hold their own, going 2-1 in the games he missed.

For his return game, McDavid was seen skating with Zach Hyman and Jeff Skinner during the morning practice. Meanwhile, Leon Draisaitl continued to play alongside Vasily Podkolzin and Viktor Arvidsson, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was moved to the third line with Adam Henrique and Connor Brown.

The highly anticipated matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m. MT at the Oilers’ home arena.
