Michael Bublé announced as Junos 2025 host
Michael Bublé, the talented crooner and beloved fizzy-drink hawker from British Columbia, has been announced as the host for the upcoming 54th Juno Awards. This prestigious event, which celebrates Canada’s vibrant music scene, will be held in Vancouver in 2025. Bublé, who hails from Burnaby, B.C., expressed his excitement about hosting the Junos once again, stating that he is proud to represent the country he loves so much.
As a five-time Grammy winner, Bublé’s career was launched at the Juno Awards when he was named best new artist in 2004. This will be his third time hosting the ceremony, following his previous stints in 2013 and 2018. He joins a select group of individuals who have solo-hosted the Junos three times, with the most recent being Burton Cummings in 1982.
Known for his charismatic personality and sense of humor, Bublé promised a more relaxed and entertaining show this time around. He joked about incorporating skits and jokes that may have been too edgy for previous organizers, hinting at a more playful and unconventional approach to hosting.
In addition to Bublé’s hosting duties, Ontario’s rock band Sum 41 will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the Junos. This honor places them among esteemed Canadian musicians such as Barenaked Ladies, Jann Arden, Alanis Morissette, and Maestro Fresh Wes. Live Nation Canada chair Riley O’Connor will also be recognized with the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award for his contributions to the growth and development of the Canadian music industry.
The 54th Juno Awards will take place on March 30 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, with the show airing live at 8 p.m. ET on CBC TV, CBC Gem, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, CBC Listen, and globally on CBC Music’s YouTube page and website. Fans can expect an unforgettable evening celebrating the best of Canadian music with Michael Bublé at the helm.
