More long-term care rooms coming to Annapolis Royal

ANNAPOLIS ROYAL, N.S. — Seniors in Annapolis Royal are in for better long-term care as the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home gears up for a revamp, adding around 30 more rooms, totalling 96.

Each of these new rooms will be solo spaces, each with its own private bathroom.

The new spaces are part of the recently announced 2,200-room expansion of the government’s plan to increase the number of long-term care rooms in the province to 5,700 by 2032.

The government is teaming up with various long-term care providers to make sure these new places, and replacements for old ones, offer better care for the seniors in the province.
