Musk blasts judges over courtroom defeats for Trump admin

Elon Musk Calls for Impeachment of Corrupt Judges, Denounces “Tyranny of the Judiciary”
DOGE leader Elon Musk has sparked controversy with his recent remarks suggesting that the United States is facing a “TYRANNY of the JUDICIARY.” Musk criticized a series of court rulings that have halted or blocked several of President Donald Trump’s executive orders, calling for the impeachment and removal of corrupt judges.
In a social media post on X, Musk expressed frustration over judicial decisions that have interfered with Trump’s agenda, which includes measures to cut government spending and enforce immigration laws. “If ANY judge ANYWHERE can block EVERY Presidential order EVERYWHERE, we do NOT have democracy, we have TYRANNY of the JUDICIARY,” Musk wrote.

The contentious remarks came in the wake of a federal judge’s decision to halt immigration raids at certain religious institutions and another judge’s order for the Trump administration to resume funding for USAID projects. Additionally, a judge blocked Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing personal records at the Department of Education.
U.S. Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, echoed Musk’s sentiments, stating, “Corrupt judges should be impeached. And removed. Pass it on if you agree.”

Musk emphasized the importance of holding judges accountable, drawing parallels to recent political upheaval in El Salvador where officials ousted supreme court judges and an attorney general. “The only way to restore rule of the people in America is to impeach judges. No one is above the law, including judges. That is what it took to fix El Salvador. Same applies to America,” Musk stated.
Responding to Musk’s call for impeachment, El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele supported the idea, asserting that corrupt judges can hinder progress and perpetuate systemic corruption. “If you don’t impeach the corrupt judges, you CANNOT fix the country,” Bukele remarked.
“They will form a cartel, (a judicial dictatorship) and block all reforms, protecting the systemic corruption that put them in their seats,” he added.
