NASCAR: Riley Gaines to deliver pre-race invocation

The EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix is set to take place at Circuit of the Americas in Austin this Sunday, with an exciting lineup of events planned for the day. One of the highlights of the event will be the pre-race invocation, which will be delivered by sports figure Riley Gaines.
Riley Gaines, a former University of Kentucky swimmer and host of the “Gaines for Girls” podcast on OutKick, expressed her gratitude for being given the opportunity to lead the prayer before the drivers hit the track for 95 laps around the road course. Gaines stated, “It’s a surreal honor to deliver the pre-race invocation for Sunday’s race at Circuit of the Americas. I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead this moment of prayer to our Heavenly Father, asking for safety, sportsmanship, and a spirit of unity for everyone involved — the drivers, teams, and fans alike.”
Gaines also mentioned that she is looking forward to the day of racing and the way the sport brings people together with passion and love for the country. She noted that she is inspired by Sage Steele, another woman who has delivered the pre-race invocation in the past, and is excited to follow in her footsteps.
The event will mark the third official race of the NASCAR season, following William Byron’s win at the Daytona 500 and Christopher Bell’s victory at the Ambetter Health 400 in Atlanta. The race on Sunday will cover a distance of 228 miles and was won by Byron last year.
In addition to her involvement in the racing world, Gaines has been a vocal advocate for fairness in women’s sports, particularly in relation to transgender athletes. She has spoken out against allowing biological males to compete against females and recently attended the White House to witness President Donald Trump sign an executive order on the issue.
As fans gear up for an action-packed day at Circuit of the Americas, all eyes will be on Riley Gaines as she delivers the pre-race invocation and sets the stage for an exciting race day. Stay tuned for more updates and coverage of the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix.
