NBA Finals: Thunder beat Pacers in Game 4 of NBA Finals to even series

The Oklahoma City Thunder put on a thrilling comeback performance in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers, securing a 111-104 victory at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the standout player of the night, scoring 35 points with 15 of those coming in the crucial fourth quarter. His nine straight points down the stretch sealed the come-from-behind win for the Thunder, leveling the series at two games apiece.

The Pacers started strong, scoring 20 points in the first 4:59 of the game – a rare feat against the Thunder defense. Despite their early lead, they were unable to maintain their advantage as the Thunder fought back. The game took a chippy turn with a couple of flagrant fouls called on both teams, adding to the intensity of the matchup.

Indiana managed to build a double-digit lead in the third quarter, but the Thunder responded with a 13-3 run to tie the game early in the fourth. The game remained tight with multiple ties down the stretch, but Gilgeous-Alexander’s clutch step-back shot gave the Thunder their first lead of the second half.

Jalen Williams contributed 27 points, Alex Caruso added 20, and Chet Holmgren recorded a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds for the Thunder. It was a gritty performance from OKC, who only made three 3-pointers in the game and saw Gilgeous-Alexander record zero assists for the first time all season.

Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 20 points, while Tyrese Haliburton and Obi Toppin chipped in with 18 and 17 points, respectively. The series now shifts back to Oklahoma City for Game 5, with the Thunder regaining home-court advantage.
