NBA YoungBoy thanks Trump for ‘opportunity to keep building’ after gun charge pardon

Louisiana Rapper NBA YoungBoy Thanks President Trump for Pardon
A Louisiana rapper, known as NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, recently expressed his gratitude to President Donald Trump for granting him a pardon. The rapper had been convicted on gun charges and was sentenced by a federal judge in Utah for possessing weapons as a convicted felon. Gaulden had faced multiple charges in both Utah and Louisiana but was able to reach agreements that resolved the legal issues he was facing.
In a statement released on his Instagram account, Gaulden, who goes by the stage name “Never Broke Again,” thanked President Trump for giving him the opportunity to continue building his life as a man, a father, and an artist. He described the pardon as a significant moment in his life and expressed his appreciation for the chance to move forward without the constraints of probation.
Gaulden’s attorney, Drew Findling, confirmed that the rapper had been released from federal prison earlier this year and had completed his home confinement. With the pardon, Gaulden no longer has to adhere to the terms of his probation, which included drug testing. Findling praised President Trump for granting the pardon, allowing Gaulden to focus on his family and his music career.
The rapper had previously admitted to possessing multiple firearms, including a Glock 21 .45-caliber pistol and a Masterpiece Arms MPA30T 9mm handgun. He had also been involved in a prescription drug fraud ring in Utah but had paid a fine and received no prison time for his role in the operation. Gaulden’s past legal troubles included a conviction for aggravated assault with a firearm in Louisiana.
Despite his legal challenges, Gaulden has found success in the music industry, with four No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. He is now gearing up for a major U.S. arena tour later this year, showcasing his talents as a rapper and performer.
