A recently revealed congressional video has filled in a crucial one-minute gap in the surveillance footage from the night of Jeffrey Epstein’s 2019 suicide in jail.

Two key clips, part of a large drop of nearly 34,000 files by the House Oversight Committee, have finally shed light on the highly contested minute missing from the surveillance footage outside Epstein’s cell block at the Metropolitan Correctional Center.

The missing minute occurred from 11:58:59 on August 9, 2019, to midnight on Aug. 10, 2019.

Prior to this latest release, digital forensics experts had determined that the footage released by the Department of Justice had been edited from multiple segments and pieced together using Adobe Premiere Pro, fueling speculation of a cover-up surrounding Epstein’s death.

The new drop of footage from the House committee has revealed that the camera data switched at midnight, necessitating the merging of the two clips for a continuous video.

Following the latest release, Fox News Digital has combined the two clips to show that there was no gap in the footage, contradicting Attorney General Pam Bondi’s previous explanation that the last minute of footage is deleted every night.

“What we learned from Bureau of Prisons was every night the video is reset, and every night should have the same minute missing,” Bondi previously stated in a meeting at the White House.

The reason for the disappearance of the footage remains unclear, but the missing seconds did not show any significant activity inside the jail block.

The Department of Justice concluded that Epstein had committed suicide in his New York City jail cell while awaiting further sex trafficking charges.

As of now, the Attorney General’s Office has not responded to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
