New Jersey military base experiences drone incursions
The Fox Flight Team recently joined forces with a New Jersey drone unit in the search for Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) in the Northeast region. However, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, located in New Jersey, has reported multiple drone incursions this year by contraband smugglers attempting to sneak illegal items into a federal prison on the military installation. The base, which houses FCI Fort Dix prison, has strict flight restrictions in place to prevent unauthorized drone operations.
According to a spokesperson for the base, there have been several drone detections this year, with the most recent interception occurring on September 15, 2024. These drones were used to smuggle contraband such as cellphones, drugs, tobacco, and other items into the prison.
