Three of Canada’s cities are ranked among the world’s top 10 most livable cities in 2023 by Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Global Quality of Life Index 2023.
This is great news for both Canadian aspirants and new immigrants who have already landed in Canada to make their choices for a better life.

The prosperity of Vienna, Austria, is attributed to the “winning combination” of excellent culture and entertainment, reliable infrastructure, stability and excellent education and healthcare sectors.
However, two Australian cities, Sydney and Melbourne, jumped into the top five, displacing Calgary from last year’s number three.
Canada is the only country in the world with three cities in the top 10 livable cities in the world.
Australia and Switzerland were the only other countries with multiple cities at the top of the list.
This year, Calgary, the largest metropolitan area in Alberta, dropped to 7th place, tied with Zurich, Switzerland, and is now between Vancouver (#5) and Toronto (#9).
