New Trump-picked lawmakers on Capitol Hill: Who are Randy Fine and Jimmy Patronis?

House Republicans are set to begin this week with a full conference for the first time this year, bringing much-needed relief to Speaker Mike Johnson, who has been working with a slim majority since the beginning of the 119th Congress in January. The addition of newly minted representatives Randy Fine and Jimmy Patronis, both from Florida, will give the GOP some breathing room as they navigate key issues like government spending.

In interviews with Fox News Digital, both Fine and Patronis expressed their commitment to advancing President Donald Trump’s agenda and working as team players within the House GOP. Fine emphasized the importance of unity within the party, stating that the goal is to make Speaker Johnson and President Trump successful, which in turn will benefit their constituents and the country as a whole.

Patronis highlighted his focus on military and veterans’ issues, as well as advancing Trump’s policies on government efficiency, the border crisis, and fentanyl trafficking. With the 1st Congressional District in Florida boasting a strong military presence, Patronis pledged to support and protect the nation’s military installations.

On the topic of veterans’ care, Patronis commended Trump’s efforts to enable veterans to seek care outside of VA hospitals, promising to work towards reinstating these reforms. He also emphasized the importance of transparency in federal spending, aligning with the goals of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to ensure that taxpayers’ dollars are being used wisely.

Fine echoed the sentiment of supporting Trump’s agenda, emphasizing the need for Republicans to govern effectively and expand their majority through strategic decision-making. He also mentioned the importance of principles guiding his actions, particularly in areas like fighting antisemitism.
