No injuries reported in drive-by shooting in Dartmouth

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Dartmouth on the weekend.

Const. John MacLeod said a vehicle was stopped at the intersection of Burnside and Commodore drives at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday when another vehicle approached it from behind. The second car passed the first and, while doing so, someone inside fired shots at the stopped vehicle.

While the vehicle was hit with several rounds, there were no injuries reported to whoever was inside.

MacLeod said he didn’t know the number of occupants inside the  vehicle that was targeted. The incident wasn’t reported to police until Sunday.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black, four-door sedan with tinted windows and a lowered suspension.

Anyone with information or who has video from the area is asked to contact Halifax police or Crime Stoppers.
