No serious injuries when ambulance slides off road onto side in Lunenburg County

There were no serious injuries when an ambulance slid into a ditch in Lunenburg County Tuesday night.
RCMP spokesman Const. Dominic Laflamme said the rig wasn’t carrying any patients when the incident happened on Cornwall Road in Union Square just after 8 p.m.
“They were going down a hill and road conditions were very difficult at the time, and the truck began to slide,” Laflamme said. “They were unable to regain control and left the road.”
He said the vehicle came to rest on its driver side, and the two paramedics inside were eventually able to get themselves out of the vehicle.
The occupants were taken to hospital to be checked out.
Laflamme said the ambulance was pulled from the ditch and had only minor damage.
