One person dead after single-vehicle crash in Digby County

A driver is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Digby County overnight Saturday. Police say the vehicle left the road and entered a ditch.

RCMP said incident took place around 2 a.m. Saturday

A driver is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Digby County early Saturday.

In a release, Digby RCMP say they responded to a report of a crash on Highway 217 in Centreville at around 2 a.m..

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they believe the driver was going westbound when the vehicle left the road and entered a ditch. 

The driver has not been identified, police say. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
