Ontario issues thousands of invitations for provincial immigration

New Draws Held by Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)
On 2 September, the Provincial Nominated Program (PNP) hosted significant draws, issuing a total of 2,643 invitations for various streams.
Details of the Draws
The OINP conducted three draws focusing on candidates residing in Canada and working in priority healthcare professions, as well as educators and assistants for early childhood education.
These draws considered profiles created between 2 July 2025 and 2 September 2025. Here are the specifics:
| Stream | Minimum Score | Number of Invitations Issued |
| Employer Offer: Foreign Employee | 41 | 1,305 |
| Employer Offer: International Student | 58 | 1,105 |
| Employer Offer: In-Demand Skills | 33 | 233 |
Invitations were exclusively extended to candidates under the Employer Offer: Foreign Employee and International Student streams if they had vacancies in specific National Occupational Classification (NOC) Codes related to healthcare and education.
OINP’s New Expression of Interest (EOI) System
Starting from July 2, 2025, all applications for the employer’s offer in Ontario must be submitted through the Employee Portal.
This recent update places the responsibility on employers to submit vacancies through the portal, with only applicants whose employers have successfully registered an EOI with OINP being considered.
Candidates who had set up EOIs before 2 July are required to collaborate with their employers to re-submit their profiles through the portal to maintain eligibility.
Successful nominees receiving provincial nominations from OINP can then proceed to apply for permanent residency with the federal government.
