Tragic Two-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Ontario Man in Nova Scotia

A 52-year-old man from Ontario has tragically lost his life following a two-vehicle crash in Nova Scotia’s Inverness County on Wednesday afternoon.

Details of the Crash

According to the RCMP, the collision took place on Highway 105 near Lexington. First responders received the distress call and rushed to the scene between Long Stretch Road and Lake Horton Road at 1:25 p.m. AT.

Reports indicate that a Chevrolet CZT and a Jeep were involved in the crash, ultimately both vehicles coming to rest in a ditch on the opposite side of the road.

Victims of the Crash

The driver of the Chevrolet CZT, the 52-year-old man from Ontario, sadly did not survive the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep, a 32-year-old woman from Eskasoni, N.S., sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Investigation Ongoing

At this time, the cause of the crash remains unknown as authorities continue their investigation into the tragic incident. A section of Highway 105 between Port Hastings and Lexington was temporarily shut down following the crash but has since been reopened.
