Over a dozen Venezuelan criminal illegal migrants sent to Guantánamo Bay
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed that more than a dozen Venezuelan criminal illegal migrants, including members of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA), are being transported to the Guantánamo Bay Detention Camp (GITMO) in Cuba. TdA is known as an international criminal group that has been causing chaos in U.S. communities across the country.
President Donald Trump wasted no time in taking action, issuing an executive order on Jan. 20 to designate TdA as a “foreign terrorist organization.” This move highlights the severity of the situation and the need to address the threat posed by these criminal elements.
Among the group of 13 Venezuelans being flown to GITMO are individuals with serious criminal backgrounds, including a murder suspect and a man who claims to have escaped from a Venezuelan prison. These individuals are considered highly dangerous and are in the U.S. illegally.
The expansion of the detention center at GITMO is being done to accommodate the influx of criminal immigrants. The DHS has emphasized that only the most dangerous criminals will be held at the facility to ensure the safety of the American public.
Earlier this week, 10 high-threat migrants arrived at Guantánamo Bay, where they are being housed in vacant detention facilities. This temporary arrangement is being made to secure the individuals until they can be transported to their country of origin or another appropriate destination.
President Trump has taken a strong stance on illegal immigration, instructing the DOD to prepare Guantánamo Bay to house up to 30,000 “criminal illegal aliens.” This move is aimed at preventing these individuals from returning to the U.S. and posing a threat to the public.
The DHS has reiterated that Guantánamo Bay will only be used to house the “worst of the worst” criminals, emphasizing the need to protect American communities from dangerous individuals. With 30,000 beds available at the facility, there is ample space to accommodate these detainees and ensure public safety.
In conclusion, the transportation of Venezuelan criminal illegal migrants to Guantánamo Bay underscores the ongoing efforts to address the threat posed by violent criminal organizations. President Trump’s decisive actions signal a commitment to protecting the American public and ensuring that dangerous individuals are held accountable for their crimes.
