Ozzy Osbourne and original members of Black Sabbath reunite to headline final show

Legendary metal band Black Sabbath has announced their final show, featuring a reunion of the original lineup after 20 years. The show, titled Back to the Beginning, will take place in Birmingham on July 5, the birthplace of the band in 1968.

The lineup includes Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, who will come together for a one-day festival alongside other iconic metal bands such as Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Gojira, and Halestorm. This historic event will mark a significant moment in metal music history, with many of the bands performing citing Black Sabbath as a major influence.

Despite Osbourne’s battle with Parkinson’s disease, he will perform a short solo set before being joined by his former bandmates. The group, known for hits like War Pigs, Paranoid, and Iron Man, played a pivotal role in shaping heavy metal music in the early 1970s and went on to achieve global success, selling over 75 million albums worldwide.

The reunion comes after years of ups and downs for the band, including lineup changes, legal disputes, and personal conflicts. Tensions between members led to multiple breakups and reunions over the years, with the original lineup not coming together again until 1997.

The show will not only be a celebration of Black Sabbath’s legacy but also a fundraiser for Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice. It will be a fitting end to an incredible journey for the band, as Iommi expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to perform where it all began in Aston.

As fans eagerly anticipate this historic event, the music world is abuzz with excitement for what promises to be the greatest heavy metal show ever. The legacy of Black Sabbath lives on, and their final show is sure to be a momentous occasion for metal music fans around the world.
