Pair charged in electronics theft from Dartmouth South Academy

DARTMOUTH, N.S. — Halifax Regional Police arrested and charged two people for a break-in and theft from Dartmouth South Academy early Tuesday morning.

Metro police were called to Prince Arthur Avenue school around 3:35 a.m., finding someone had broken a window to gain entry and steal electronics.

With the help of a K9 team, officers arrested two suspects a short distance away, seizing the stolen items.

A 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman are both scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date to face charges of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
