A 28-year-old woman from Hacketts Cove, N.S., died Sunday in a pickup truck crash along a coastal road just west of Halifax.

A 28-year-old woman from Hacketts Cove, N.S., died Sunday in a pickup truck crash along a coastal road just west of Halifax.
RCMP said the victim was a passenger in a GMC Canyon that hit a tree after it left Peggys Cove Road while going around a curve near the community of French Village. Police were called to the scene around 7 a.m.
The driver, a 29-year-old man from Glen Haven, N.S., was seriously injured and taken to hospital, police said in a news release Monday.
Police did not say what led to the crash, but a collision reconstruction expert was at the scene to help with the investigation.
